For the past 30 years, Camp Judah has been making a place for thousands of young people to meet with Jesus and build godly friendships. However, this year we are facing a challenge we’ve never seen before: The number of campers registered for camp this summer is far below the threshold we need to make camp happen. There has always been a minimum number of campers we needed, but we have never had to worry about it before. Unfortunately, at this point, so few campers are registered that we will not be able to have Camp Judah this summer unless something drastically changes. The truth is, if we don’t have enough campers and staff this year, we may not be able to get camp going again in the future.
If Camp Judah is going to happen this summer, we need to hit that threshold by midnight on Friday, July 15. If you were planning to send campers, we need you to register before then. If your kids are already signed up, we need you to encourage friends and family to register campers too. All the details and the registration forms here.
We not only need campers, but we also need adults to volunteer to serve as cabin counselors. There is a certain ratio of staff to campers that we must have and we still need a lot more adult volunteers to have enough staff. If you know kids who would be blessed by Camp Judah, please consider volunteering. All the information for staff volunteers is here.
We love seeing what God has done and we would hate to lose the opportunity to impact so many lives. The only way we can make it happen this summer is if everyone gets involved.
Ways you can help:
– Register today here
– Contact other parents and tell them what you love about camp
– Pay for another family if you have the means
– Serve at camp yourself (it’s only 3 days!)
– Encourage someone else to serve at camp
